AirStrip to headline Innotech EMT luncheon

Dr. Cameron Powell, president, chief medical officer and co-founder of AirStrip will serve as the keynote speaker for the InnoTech April 16 Emerging Medical Technology conference.  The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:45 p.m. at the San Antonio Henry B. Gonzales Center.


Powell developed one of the first remote patient monitoring devices, and in his talk, he will discuss  how AirStrip has developed the marketing distribution channels to reach more medical professionals.  His talk will also detail how his product remains compliant with HIPAA regulations.

Other events at this conference:

  • “Critical Legal Changes:  IP, Taxation & Regulatory” with Cassia Ysaguirre, associate with Strasburger Price at the moderator. Michael Stimson, Senior Patent Counsel, Fulbright & Jaworski, and Jessica Gonzalez, Senior Manager, Business Tax Services, Ernst & Young, LLP, will also serve on the panel.
  • “Show me the Money! Fundraising Tips and Strategies” with  Mark Horsey, CFO Rapamyacin as the moderator.  George Karutz, managing director, Pasadena Capital, Dr. Evan Melrose, managing director, Spindle Top Capital, and Dr. Paul Castella, co-founder and director of Incyte Ventures will also serve on the panel which starts at 2:30 p.m.
  • Corey  Leveon, chief scientific officer,  Viroxis, will host invited medical companies to present a five-minute pitch at 4 p.m.  The winner will get a $1000 prize from T3DC.

A happy hour follows the event at 5 p.m.
