The acquisition includes PetsMD features and capabilities, including a library of online clinical information, it’s web-based pet Symptom Checker and iPhone application.  Pet360 plans to integrate PetsMD content to its consumer-facing sites to strengthen Pet360’s online network.  These are all expected to be added to Pet360’s extensive set of capabilities over the next 90 days.

“There is a great team of folks at Pet360, whose business focus and vision matches ours: put more power and information into the hands of pet owners where, how and when they want it, so more of their time can go to the enjoyment of their pet,” said Tina Cannon, co-founder and COO of PetsMD.

“Post-acquisition, we are looking at options to continue working with Pet360 to service pets and their owners in even more and better ways,” Raul Calvoz, CEO of PetsMD, stated. “PetsMD’s synergies with Pet360 are hard to overstate. This is a great deal for all concerned. We couldn’t be happier.”

PetsMD, established in 2008, provided pet owners with in-depth veterinary information to better educate pet lovers, along with real-time online pet appointment booking branded Book-A-Vet.
